I am the guidance counselor at Joanna-Woodson Elementary School, and I encourage you to click on "Meet the Counselor" to learn more about my background and experience working with kids. During the first semester I enjoyed teaching guidance lessons once a week to all of our kdg, 1st, and 2nd graders in their classrooms. For second semester, I continue to enjoy working once a week in each classroom of 3rd, 4th, and 5th gr students. I would like you to know that I have a heart for your children and will make every effort to be available when they need my attention and concern, or any help, encouragement, and support I can give, all of which I also consider a very important part of my job. I've been having fun getting to know them and learning from them, while I hope they learn important lessons from me at the same time. With a total of over 700 students, my goal is to squeeze in as much as possible for your children and make every minute I have with them count.
I am here in this building every Tuesday, Wednesday afternoon, and Thursday. Although I will be at Eastside every Monday, Wednesday morning, and Friday, if you need to reach me then and it cannot wait until I return to Joanna, you may call me at 833-0827 and leave a message with the secretary.
